In order to implement the World Declaration of Human Rights，the United Nations adopted the International Covenant on Economic，Social and Cultural Rights. The Convention clearly defines various economic，social and cultural rights of citizens and establishes relevant implementation and monitoring mechanism，serving as a human rights charter and legal basis for safeguarding a rich，dignified，sound and civilized life of people in the world. Since signing and ratification of the Convention，China has taken many measures to actively fulfill its obligations under the Convention and efficiently protect the rights of citizens，which leads to significant progress in the field of human rights.
