Safeguarding people's right of habitation is to fulfill the justice of habitation and satisfy the right to an adequate standard of housing under International Covenants on Human Rights. This paper compares legal measures on the right of habitation in Taiwan Province and Mainland China，with specific focus on the basic notion in the Housing Law of Taiwan Province and its existing problem. Taiwan Province's law to safeguard the right to habitation may shed light on relevant legislation of Mainland China.
