Abstract：With the theme of “ The Chinese Dream：New Progress in China’s Human Rights Cause，” the Seventh Beijing Forum on Human Rights，hosted by China Society for Human Rights Studies and China Foundation for Human Rights Development，was held in Beijing from September 17-18，2014. Experts from more than 30 countries，regions and international organizations attended the forum. A number of common understandings emerged out of the discussions and deliberations and these include：the substance of the Chinese Dream shall consist in respecting and protecting human rights；different understandings may be had of human rights and cross-cultural human rights cooperation and research should be pursued；governance and anti-terrorism on the one hand and human rights protection on the other are intimately related.
