Abstract：China and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are inextricably linked. Since the founding of the United Nations，China advocated the defense of international human rights and actively pursued the inclusion into the UN Charter of international human rights clauses，such as those on the fostering of national self-determination，advancement of international cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation，non-aggression and promotion of peace. Moreover，as one of its key drafting countries，China made outstanding contributions to the drafting and adoption of the UDHR.
